Mayakovsky is handsome asf

With the news of r/TheDeprogram's demise I went to reddit logo and saw that r/GenZedong is still alive, and I found the legendary Xi Bazooka pic from WION.

Whether it be juche or socialism with Chinese characteristics I'm going to support any kind of socialism either way because I know it's the step in the right direction and I feel if you don't you have taken a revisionist stance

So our party has a festival this weekend. But at the same time a neolib party has one too.

For fun I looked up their programme. It includes debates called:

Woke, end of freedom?

What's a human life worth?

5% GDP to defense?

Are young people not willing to work?

What's the government not supposed to take care off?

You can't make this shit up man.

It's really nice to see this board get an injection of life from the shuttering of the DeProgram. It's actually really scary as I had to end up saving a lot of the content about DPRK that was on there. If some of you aren't aware already, we have a wiki of our own! Prolewiki!

Awesome resource for reading about theory, M-L perspective and debunking your typical anti-communist myths, just like the DeProgram had!

In the end I think it's better more and more people can get away from a censored, controlled environment where you can freely speak your opinion on the death of fascists and zionists without a ban. Wasn't it such a smart idea of Reddit to do this?

Some different refugee groups in my city have some sort of war going on for some reason and they get to fight a lot. They use sticks and other weapons and fight in big gangs in the middle of the city. God know's why. Now they seem to have picked up a fight in the city park in the middle of the city and someone died today. Free propaganda opp for the right sadly.

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 19 points 2 days ago

The Belgian city of Gent cancelled a show of an Israeli conductor. He is also the conductor of the National Israeli Orchestra, and is therefore a representative of the state of Israel. The city festival did not want to give a place to such a representative, and therefore cancelled his gig as they could not 100% conclude that he is against the genocidal actions of his state.

The media framing, however, is that he was refused because he is Israeli. This has led to a lot of 'RACISM!!!' reactions, and discussions about the topic are now endlessly more tiresome than they need to be.

I have a close-knit group of friends who are all receiving collective death-threats following the actions of what happened with Kirk.

It's been pretty much non-stop. Celebrating the death of someone who has worked tirelessly to dehumanize the people that you love and care about. These fucking inhuman insectoids crawl out of their god-damn filth-ridden holes to threaten your family. The friends of friends suddenly showing their true colors. These people who you never would have imagined, people you barely knew in high-school.

The brown-shirts march. Nothing more than ants.

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Prob to late to say this but there is absolutely nothing to gain from voicing your political views online with your real name. You should hold a meeting with your vocal group of friends and have them stop, get strapped, improve shooting, etc... At this point, self-censorship is a skill that we must start developing and using, nazis have successfully used self-censorship to grow their movement, why can't we?

[–] 666@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I agree, I have the occasional post or so in real social media but I keep that very separate from any of my social media on here or elsewhere. For me, everything is federated in a way with different passwords/emails, etc. Like, I might seem like a radlib or have the occasional commie tendency on real media but on here is where I have my more "succinct opinions" if you will.

Quite a few of my real life friends were celebrating Kirk's death, it isn't just like 5 or 6 of us; a bunch of my old acquaintances and high-school folk who I barely talked to came out of the woodwork to laugh at it with me or say they've received lash-back for laughing at it themselves.

get strapped, improve shooting

I'm not ever going to talk about any of this online, especially when I've talked about growing marijuana on this profile before. Self-censorship is indeed good when it comes to these things; but at the same time It's also good to have a general "no trespassing" sign on your fief, get what I mean?

At this point, self-censorship is a skill that we must start developing and using, nazis have successfully used self-censorship to grow their movement, why can’t we?

Honestly, as time goes on, the only reason I keep certain media is because the people I talk to aren't exactly...tech-literate. Family too. I've considered just shuttering the profile and keep it completely private, should probably do that.

I can't say I don't enjoy fucking with chuds as I've never actually experienced a lash-back from it. Paper tigers and all that, but there's a reason I know how to defend myself beyond "guns" which of course doesn't mean much when one is on the table.

I think that's the reality of living in America these days and is going to. You can just get shot, stabbed or blown up over your favorite niche tendency having a "war" against each other instead of actualizing any class consciousness; not that we don't try to for sure. It's funny, I think I've had quite a bit of success having a somewhat of an online presence to persuade some of my old high-school friends, acquaintances, work-mates to appeal to the ideals we have and it's worked quite well!

But yeah...on the flip-coin you get this. What do you think? Always appreciate hearing from you.

I appreciate it, but you'd better hope for their sake. I'll be fucking damned if any god damn buck-tooth inbred threatens me or anyone I love.

[–] chesmotorcycle@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If it persists, it might be worth it to get a lawyer. Tell these chuds they could lose their treats and they'll quickly shut the fuck up.

[–] 666@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Already did, the telling the chud he'll lose his treats part.. Chud has three kids and a vast criminal record.

I've also politely reminded him that I'd gladly bathe in his blood.

I may have posted on this subject before and forgot, so forgive me if I'm repeating myself, but it really bugs me how common it seems to be for people to be into this idea of "roasting each other / talking shit" as some kind of "love language". I can only guess it is more common in the imperial core because it's such a warped culture to begin with, because I don't tend to see it among the kind of people who'd hang out here (people who are supportive of socialist projects, etc.), and because it just doesn't make sense for social cohesion. But either way, it is bizarre behavior to me and it is tiresome to me being around such people. I understand some people do kink with degradation and under the right circumstances, that's probably fine, but people who are doing that healthily have safe words, they have aftercare, and they communicate about what they're into or not into. A "joke" at someone else's expense that is not funny to the target of the joke is not a joke, it is an insult disguised as humor to be able to play it off as non-confrontational. It is the work of emotionally warped people who have learned to fear sincerity as somehow "awkward." And goddamn, if there is anything the west could use more of, it's actual plain and simple sincerity and less irony poisoned garbage.

[–] o_d@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

It is the work of emotionally warped people who have learned to fear sincerity as somehow "awkward."

In my personal experience with this, it's a result of parental neglect and lack of community in the imperial core. The extreme alienation means that if there's no sincerity at home, children are unlikely to encounter enough of it elsewhere in order to develop it themselves in a healthy way.

[–] EstreyaZR@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 1 day ago

Not only that, but I always notice how peers of mine dont even know how to respond anymore without some unconcious level of sarcasm / cynicism; covering the numbness we experience in social settings. When we break out of it, and begin to feel, most of us are stunned and at a loss of words.

I hope that I'm just too young, and we begin to have some level of social cohesion, instead of hopping between asthetics we would like to call ours. I think, as a generation, we have become too uncertain to have our own perception, instead prefering to live in the hyperreal.

(I don't want to say this from a doomer perspective, but more as my confused two cents from the main european vassal state.)

It looks like Nepal just "elected" a new leader via a discord vote of 5000 people (total pop. 30 Million). How this is even viewed as a legitimate means of selecting a leader is beyond me.

Yes, that discord app.

The city government cut down trees in my city to make way for some dumb public transport adjustment despite the neighborhood and experts agreeing that it is not necessary. They went ahead anyway and the neighbourhood protested. A huge police force showed up to intimidatie and abuse the protesters. Our local party leader for arrested and held in captivity for up to 8 hours for whatever bullshit they could come up with.

The government held a city hall meeting the other day and our party asked questions and wanted apologies. The city government just went: 'this is the only way to get things done'.

Now, this is about some trees, but it's concerning how the city sees intimidating and abusing residents as a way to get things done.

I know we have a lot of Statseian comrades on here, especially now after the deprogram sub ban, and this might be controversial to say, considering the state of the place over the past day or so, but I really don't care about Charlie Kirk enough to see how it warrants this much meme posting when there is so much other concerning shit going on at the moment.

It makes me wonder if there is a concentrated effort by the powers that be to latch onto this story and push it to the forefront of western discussion to distract from something actually important, like Poland potentially triggering war with Russia, or the fact that the civilian aid flotilla to Gaza has been getting relentlessly firebombed, or that theres a color revolution in Nepal underway right this moment.

I was hoping to find some discussions on these things from a socialist standpoint, but it's wall to wall kirkposting so far. idk, seems fishy.

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Imo it's a serious event, but i agree that we don't need 100 posts memeing about it.

[–] commiewolf@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 days ago

I'm wondering if it merits a megathread, but honestly, I think the old saying should be applied here:

The opposite of love is indifference

[–] cfgaussian@lemmygrad.ml 17 points 3 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I'm pretty indifferent to this type of US domestic drama, but i think a day or two of discussion is fine, we can allow our comrades from the US that much as a treat. But yeah, after that the news cycle needs to move on, there are much more important things happening in the world.

[–] SmallBear@lemmygrad.ml 13 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, honestly I agree. I mean I kinda get it, but it's a huge amount of posting for a (relatively) minor event. I logged in today mostly to see if anyone was talking about Poland and I was met with a barrage of posts about a guy in the US getting shot. I dunno, I'm not convinced he deserves the fanfare.

[–] commiewolf@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 3 days ago

Yeah, exactly how I felt. I was thinking "damn, Israel just bombed Qatar, I'd like to see what Lemmygrad thinks", and it's the same meme 50 times over.

I don't even think the Luigi incident got this much when it happened, and imo that was actually more worthy of being memed since it was in a way actually useful as agitprop.

[–] Mzuark@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

There are a lot of conspiracies around Kirk's murder and none of them make any sense. I've seen "distraction from the Epstein files", "whacked by Mossad", "Ukraine/Russia did it.", "False flag". There are actual schemes being carried out by shadowy forces out there and I sincerely doubt a conservative debate YouTuber being assassinated is one of them.

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

The US has had 3400 mass shootings over the past decade(s) or so. This doesn't even involve single casualty shootings, which is thousands more. Chicago alone had more people dying due to gun violence during the Afghanistan war than US soldiers dying in the actual war.

With this much violence happening, and with a political climate this unstable, something like this is bound to happen. The odds of the shooter being a radicalised lone wolf is much, much higher than it being a false flag imo.

Instead of putting on our tin foil hats I think we should focus on spreading the word how adventurism is not going to solve our problems, but rather that we need to build a workers movement.
