Tales of Symphonia, but properly remaster it. All the content from later ports, but at 60fps just like GameCube. I'd also port in Free Run, because that's such a key addition to later titles that it's hard to go back to Symphonia without it.

I'd also just like to see any of the classic 2D Tales games, especially ones that were never released in the west. Phantasia PSP when?

Kid Icarus Uprising desperately needs to be available on modern platforms. I'll be the first to say stylus aiming was good and it may be a bit of a downgrade to keep up with the game's breakneck speeds without it, but gyro aiming would be close enough. What I'd really like to see is a way to play Light vs. Dark without weapon min-maxing, I think it'd be substantially improved with base weapons only.

I might be stretching the definition of remaster a bit, but I'd love a Game & Watch collection that picks up where the Gallery games left off. Just put every (non-licensed) title in one package. New Modern versions would be great.

Never gonna happen in a billion years, but my ultimate dream would be a Boktai Trilogy collection. You could have a USB-C Solar Sensor peripheral, it could work. It's possible. It won't happen, but it's possible.

Ace Combat 4, 5, and Zero.

Logistically, it’d be a piece of cake. They still look gorgeous, and play great; basically all they really need is to render in UHD and swap some assets, though some of the cloud prettiness of the newest Ace Combat would be nice.

Hogs of War - it's something like Worms in 3D, but from all the way back in 1998. The PS1 game works fine, but the PC release was bugged with enemy AI not moving at all.

Team Buddies - really fun action game on the PS1, could shine with 4v4 multiplayer on the internet

Jazz Jackrabbit - Bigger resolution at least, with more of the level being visible at any time. Modern controller support would also be awesome.

Don't have many games for me in that. Would love a Fallout 2 remaster, something that improves the visuals, and adds some QoL improvements, but keeps the game the way it is.

Was happy with Diablo 2 remake, but I haven't actually played it yet, so not sure how faithful it is.

Would love Black & White, or Settlers 2 remaster. They made a new Settlers game, but it didn't get great reviews, from what I recall.

3 was great. 4 was meh.

I was talking about the recent reboot, The Settlers: New Allies

Don't recall if I played 3 and 4 or not.

Armored Core 4 really struggled on release. I'd love to see it get rebuilt for modern hardware and let it shine.

Parasite Eve. Probably never going to happen.

Wing Commander series.

Crimson Skies. How the fuck have we not had another Crimson Skies? We went through the whole pirate fad and with the current political situation of the USA...

I played through Crimson Skies for the first time a few years ago and I heartily agree. So much fun! A bit janky though so yeah, a remaster would be fantastic.

I've never played Rage but I just checked the screenshots on Steam. The graphics looks nice and modern. What do you want it improved in the remaster?

[–] ICastFist@programming.dev 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

As someone who played and finished the game back when it was new, I don't see why anyone would want a remaster of it. It's an ok shooter, but there's nothing memorable other than the driving (which was just boring)
