WiFi IoT stuff can be okay too if you trust the firmware or block its internet access
Yep I've been going all Zigbee lately. I do have a couple of WiFi smart plugs but I was able to take them apart and install Tasmota on them to make them fully local.
When the Matter over Thread device ecosystem is more mature I'll start using that.
Havent really had a need for one of these so far, but if i ever do i know where to look now :D
Now do it for Tesla.
There actually is a Tesla jail break, or at least was, it's been some years since I last heard anything about it lol So I have no idea if it's still kicking or only available for early model Teslas or something

I really can't think of anything I would NEED to be IoT, so I probs won't need these projects, but thanks to those who develop them! Well, my parents do have some sort of doorbell camera outside...
