It's so frustrating they are using people making dumb mistakes to advance the plot. The kids I can give a pass because kids are dumb. But to have actual scientists and engineers do stupid stuff repeatedly to keep things moving is so cheap and lazy. And the supposedly trillion dollar company running extremely important tests on alien species in an isolated island has worse security than a standard office building. Here's a list:
Tap for spoiler
- Wiping the memory of one of the hybrids and literally just dropping her off like nothing happened. Not informing anyone she will interact with. Not monitoring her status to see the effects. Of course someone will notice immediately that something is wrong and she will realize it quickly. Your goal was to erase the trauma, but you're just giving her a new one.
- Scientist looks obviously at the camera before "sneakily" passing information to the brother via his computer screen. Can you be any more obvious that you're doing something suspicious?
- They fired the scientist on obviously bad terms, then let him continue to roam around the facility with access to everything. Even standard white collar companies immediately disable access of terminated employees and have security walk them out. Lamest security system and protocols for such a company. They have cameras all around and somehow no one is monitoring them.
- Same scientist goes into the lab where the aliens are and proceeds to not do anything about closing all the doors that contain the specimens. I get it, the hybrids are like his own children, but dude, there are literally dangerous creatures all around you. It's not like the kid is gonna get any worse than the condition you found him in.
