I once stayed up till like 4 am playing Dwarf Fortress on a weeknight. I knew I should have stopped hours ago but the dwarves needed new clothes.

Silksong is great but I’m at the part where it takes like 6 hits to kill the smallest enemy. Can’t upgrade needle until further on.
That's the great part. Got to beat a fairly hellish boss to get the needle upgrade, and then it still takes six hits to defeat all the enemies in the new area, rather than eight if you'd skipped it. Got an unusually easy runback to her, though, so don't claim the designers don't give you anything.
Just got into act 2. Thought they might have gone easy for a bit after the hellish end of act 1, but no, straight into much harder.
I have always preferred a Soft Cap on progression style of game. Don't gate me behind a key that requires me to do a thing to move forward. Make it so this gate is technically optional, you can move forward but dangit it will be tough without the thing from that gate you skipped.
This includes, but is not limited to; Keys, Totems, Flags, or even "insurmountable defense" where enemies take 0 damage unless you do over X damage. Gimme low damage, but not no damage. Let me choose what things are worth doing instead of telling me specifically how to play. (stupid WoW and "your iLvl is too low"
For me it would be Sniper Elite 5 busting the door down to find me pinned down by a Korvax from No Man's Sky. I'm in the middle of a 45 hour NMS replay and I just can't stop! That game is insanely addictive, specially since they added customisable Corvettes.
Oooooh don't saaaaaaay that. I'm trying really hard not to give in but you make it sound sooooooo appealing
Maybe just a little vette as a treat
Worth it
