I just want "quick" settings to actually toggle quickly. Looking at you, bluetooth.

When I tap it on my Pixel 7, it enables/disable Bluetooth instantly. How much faster than instant do you need your Bluetooth status to change?
That would be lovely, but for me tapping it opens a midscreen popup menu, which then offers a toggle. Long pressing opens the full bluetooth settings. I can use a widget, but i'd rather have it be one tap toggle from quick settings.
You probably need to update your phone as I think this is a recent change.
You can now have either a 2-wide quick setting which offers both a one-tap solution and the popup menu solution, or you can shrink it to 1-wide and just have it enable/disable Bluetooth.
Yeah, this new change makes it a one tap action again. Very nice.
I have both Pixel 7 pro and 9 pro, and the new v16 update doesn't bring all the same UI changes to Pixel 7, so you're seeing the old UI.
Nope. I have a pixel 8 and a pixel 9. They took that single tap toggle away 2 updates ago. FFS
It's back for me on my Pixel 7. I'd look into it as it should be back for you too.
Looking at you hotspot
Both Bluetooth and hotspot toggle with 1 click on stock android
No, they don't.
Swipe down for quick settings. Click Bluetooth button. (Menu pops up) Click Bluetooth toggle. Click Done. Swipe away quick settings.
For me it's location, but I just created a shortcut on my home screen to take me directly to the setting.
that's literally what this new update does change it to a 1 wide tile and it just turns it on and off while letting you long press for a quick settings popup make it 2 wide and it defaults to the quick settings popup
Do note that the width of the tile is configurable between 1x1 and 2x1. 👍
that's literally what I just said
I guess you did? It was very hard to follow along in your message since you literally used zero punctuation.
TLDR, its for quick settings. Your can double tap and then tap to place them for rearranging.
that'd be useful to know last week for me...
It organizes your apps by how you installed them and removes the “side loaded” ones, thanks to daddy Google
what do you mean removes side loaded apps?
