General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Eat shit, nazi scumbags. Britain has fought your kind before and we'll do it again

Edit - so we're OK with allowing these uneducated psychopaths to rally support for national front nazism, but when it comes to protesting a genocide akin to what the nazis themselves carried out, let's arrest anyone who speaks out. Brainless society doesn't even cover it

It's not brainless, it's intentional.

Yes, intentionally idiotic. Still means they're idiots

Looking from outside, it's seeming more and more likely that Britain will be the Nazis next time.

I don't think it should be called a "protest" when it's, like, "protesting against certain subsets of humanity existing".

Kinda feels like a totally different thing.

Protesting is a morally neutral act so it is a protest. There was no widespread violence against minorities so "pogrom" doesn't fit.

Wow what a wretched collection of individuals. These assholes can't all possibly be in agreement with each other — don't you wonder if they aren't given pause by some of the company they're stacked next to?

Like if I was giving a speech somewhere and Elon Musk, for example, had just delivered his I'd start to suspect I wasn't on the right side of things, let alone in the best of company...

Unfortunately the right has always been able to ignore inconvenient facts. They are very skilled at denial.
