UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
Rather then actually supporting workers. Blue Labour decides to use Reform as a threat to shut protest up.
Yep about as expected by this gov now.
NHS will die under Reform unless Labour start getting their act together.
Or we get behind a progressive alliance.
There's nothing the left like doing more than infighting and the votes will be split between supporting Corbyn and the left alliance of Lib and Green: personality based populism Vs boring competence.
Labour won't get their act together because THIS is the pre-approved Blairite plan that Kier got told at DAVOS before the election by the large party backers: shift the blame to anyone but the super rich.
The end result is the same: Reform get in.
The only thing that could prevent that is Robinson forming his own party and causing a serious split of the vote on the right between Farage's Reform and whatever Robinson creates.
Labour just openly admitting we're going to have a Reform government. Ye gods.
"It can't possibly be us! It's the workers that are wrong!"
Well looks like it's death of the NHS then and I can't wait for all the reform voters to realise that the US style system that'll replace it will be way worse for them because they're part of the peasant class who won't be able to afford a good enough insurance network. Have fun being living organ incubators for the upper classes!
