Im looking for something like comic life 3 but preferably open source. i would like to put ai generated images or photos into a comic with ease but with the power of open source or free. is there a software like this that lets you just drag and drop images and it helps make a comic or something? also im not a fan of free trials, watermarks, and those annoying things like that.

There's a rather old project that may do what you want: https://github.com/zoran123456/Comic-Smart-Panels

I also use AlternativeTo to look for ...alternatives! Unfortunately, the other alternatives (besides Comic Smart Panels) are all proprietary, varying degree of "free": https://alternativeto.net/software/comic-life/

Technically you could do it with Krita, might be a pain in the butt tho.

Or maybe Libreoffice Draw
