The US is a Native and African graveyard... even a cursory glance at a US history book would be enough to know this and understand things actually haven't changed much and this is all pretty consistent with the ethos of the country. 🤷

The us history was never like they teach it in school, but it is getting worse
American history isn't taught that way after the third grade. In high school (I don’t know what it’s called over there - basically the early teen years of school) it gets much more realistic. And of course by college (or “University”) the cat’s out of the bag.
That’s an expression that means “the secrets are revealed.”
I'm not a specialist in USA superhero epos, but none of these gentlemen looks like a senile degenerate with a cup grease(not sure if English language even has a correct term for this stuff) painted face.
