Let the weekend begin. Hazel and Millie napping.

This is a daily post for “casual” conversation. If you want to post or talk about something non autism related this is where to do it. For example if you want to info dump about your special interest but it doesn’t fall into “autism related” then you can post it here in the comments. All other rules are still active, be respectful to each other.

Hello and thanks for starting this thread.

I hope to find some good ASD related communities in Lemmy. I’m still very new to Lemmy but I just deleted my 17 year old Reddit account and would like to replace the various subreddits with Lemmy communities (or at least I think that’s what they’re called). One of my favorite subreddits was EvilAutism which was pretty casual but fun and a place with likeminded people. I’d love to hear any suggestions you all have. Thanks!

Also, those two cats are beautiful!

Welcome! It was hard to leave reddit, sorta.... there are some good communities here, but we just don't have the numbers that reddit does. I'm mostly ok with it. :)

Also, I didn't find out I was autistic until after I made the lemmy switch, so I don't know what the reddit asd communities are like.

Thank you for the information. I don’t mind not seeing as much content as on Reddit. I’m super happy to have found this community. Thanks!

Welcome! We try to keep it laid back.

At the opening of an art gallery. Found an empty gallery to hide in for now. But I know it's only temporary. We are dressed as 1950s Hollywood Glam, so people are eager to talk to us. Just keep smiling. Just keep smiling.

I made it to the car. I am safe.

That sounds terrifying and absolutely something I would be extremely uncomfortably doing. Well done.
