/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

She did absolutely nothing wrong and I will die on this hill.

[–] Jobe@feddit.org 24 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Nah, what she should have done was to transporter clone Tuvix, so they can split one of the Tuvixes into Tuvok and Neelix while keeping one Tuvix. After that, throw Neelix out the airlock.

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No. Neelix is a sweetheart.

[–] autonomous@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 week ago

he's a ferengi in disguise

[–] lordnikon@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

You don't even need to throw them out the airlock if I recall they never used his ship after he first joined Voyager just put him back on a ship and send him on his way it baffles me that she picked up this person not that she was stuck with them not that it was assigned to him not that he was from the alpha quadrant she picked it

Yeah, but unless you can figure out a way to do that simultaneously, you're still murdering a Tuvix.

[–] jrs100000@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Exactly! This way you get to murder both Tuvix and Neelix at the same time. Then you can merge Neelix and Tuvix, then split and merge and split and merge over and over until you just have a big screaming pile of twisted cells begging for death. Then you order Tuvok to end its misery and everyone will agree it was the right thing to do.

Nothing wrong in this matter anyway.

[–] negativenull@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

I agree fully

Are they going to cover how she knows that in a new series?

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 days ago

Janeway's motivation to get back to Earth ...... it's the only known place in the galaxy that has Columbian coffee

[–] mitchty@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 6 days ago

She phoned it in often, so many opportunities to get back faster but only then did the prime directive apply.
