“Seasons” plural. That’s some wishful thinking.

I’ve never seen The Witcher with him. Is he doing a good job? Or is he just playing … Chris Hemsworth?

I don't know if that was intentional, but it's Liam Hemsworth, Chris's brother.

Ouch, wasn’t intentional - I misread the headline -.-

What little they've released makes it look like he's doing his best Henry Cavill impression.

Regardless, I don't think it should matter too much seeing as the Witcher, Geralt, has been mostly sidelined in the show since season 2.

It's not out yet

He seemed fine in the teaser trailer. Cavill has a lot of fanboys who will no doubt pretend that no one else in the world is capable of playing the "extremely complex" character of Geralt (lol), so I'm sure Hemsworth will get all the usual hatred sent his way regardless of what he does. I'm not really sure why anyone wanted that role after Cavill left, it's clearly a poisoned chalice.

It's just a guess, but I think it had something to do with money.

I wasn't thinking in such reductionist terms. He's a Hollywood actor with a reasonably big name, I'm sure there are plenty of other opportunities floating around for him.
