At this point everyone who has provided material support to project 2025 is a traitor. They should all be tried and jailed. Also, prevented from ever the having authority over other human beings for the rest of their miserable lives.

[–] cycadophyta@lemmy.world 11 points 4 hours ago

Us poors better get out our pitchforks and use them on these devilish charlatans.

[–] Ileftreddit@lemmy.world 22 points 6 hours ago

Can we bring back burning people at the stake? Just for Thiel and Musk though

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 33 points 8 hours ago

If I started talking like that they'd put me away

Sometimes it blows my mind how naive some people have to be to buy into this shit. Almost everyone who speaks of their war against their self described Antichrist is acting like one in major ways. This guy literally conflicts himself by the minute, first calls government control as antichrist and scapegoating as a very dangerous social dynamic and then signs surveillance deals with Trump so that he can blame the immigrants and poor people for USA's problems. For fucks sake, you don't even need the subtly misleading evil anymore, anything goes.

Perhaps it is not naiveness but more like the pleasure of having a powerful billionaire regurgitate a century long propaganda embedded in the centre of your life philosophy back at you, the comfort of being affirmed by someone "deemed successful" and not having to face the many contradictions of the stories in your head.

There was a time where making a public statement this deranged would mean that nobody would ever consider you a serious person ever again.

[–] itztalal 12 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

When? Religious people have always been morons.

There was a small period 15-20 years ago on the internet where religious bullshit was always laughed out of the room, but then technology improved and more religious dipshits were able to get online and support each other.

[–] popekingjoe@lemmy.world 10 points 5 hours ago

Used to be that every village had its idiot. The Internet gave the idiots their own village.

Fuck this fucking pedo fucker.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 12 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

Me just reading the title:

Oh nice, are we finally calling Trump the antichrist? Fantastic!

(Although, in that case deregulating AI would hasten him.)

[–] daveB@sh.itjust.works 11 points 11 hours ago

Thiel looks like he is wearing a skin suit

[–] notannpc@lemmy.world 12 points 13 hours ago

Sounds like something a pedophile would say.

[–] leastaction@lemmy.ca 39 points 17 hours ago

Gil Duran has written a good analysis of Peter Thiel's obsession with the Antichrist: https://newrepublic.com/article/200471/peter-thiel-obsession-antichrist-religion?ref=thenerdreich.com .

To put it simply this is one vary influential and dangerous lunatic.

*rapist and child molester Peter Thiel

[–] calliope@retrolemmy.com 40 points 18 hours ago

He’s been told his entire life he’s better than everyone else, it’s no wonder he convinces others.

He spent part of his youth benefiting from apartheid and being a German kid in an African town that literally glorified Nazism until the 1980s.

He got all of the $100,000 he first lost in bad investments from family and friends.

Celebrity billionaires, they’re just like us… lmao

[–] Tim_Bisley@piefed.social 130 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

Can we tax rich people instead of listening to them say stupid shit?

[–] Ste41th@lemmy.ml 37 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Hold on let me ask the rich politicians to see if they want to tax their buddy’s more and whilst they are at it pay extra tax themself.

[–] itztalal 3 points 7 hours ago

Yeah, can we stop being collective idiots and nominating the enemy because we're afraid of the enemy?

How stupid are we? Especially when we lose and do the same thing again?

[–] Zwuzelmaus@feddit.org 3 points 18 hours ago

Oh, yes, please, he should live in Russia and say annoying sh*t to their prez for one time too often.... I have heard their tax is slightly above 100% then :-)

[–] roofuskit@lemmy.world 9 points 13 hours ago

Why wouldn't Peter Thiel want himself hastened?

[–] MysticKetchup@lemmy.world 169 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

He has previously suggested that Greta Thunberg could be the Antichrist, but her name is not thought to have come up at the talks so far.

So the billionaire building autonomous weapons and spying technology used for genocide who also injects the blood of young men to rejuvenate himself is here to warn us about the dangers of young climate activist trying to deliver food to starving Palestinians?

It's sad that we're at a point where people will actually listen to him and think he is anything other than a terrible person

[–] bigfondue@lemmy.world 47 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

His origin story is too on the nose for a movie. Like a rich, gay, foreigner who grew up on an Apartheid uranium mine?!

[–] chisel@piefed.social 13 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Are we talking about Thiel or Elon?

[–] AceFuzzLord@lemmy.zip 8 points 6 hours ago

Pretty sure Elon was emeralds instead of uranium. Probably blood emeralds, but emeralds all the same.

[–] qaz@lemmy.world 40 points 19 hours ago

Sorry can't do the laundry because that would hasten the anti-christ

[–] xenomor@lemmy.world 54 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Regulating AI hastens the antichrist says the world’s leading antichrist candidate

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)
[–] devfuuu@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Unfortunately it's just reality.

Maybe we are living in a simulated universe inside the Onion.

[–] Darkcoffee@sh.itjust.works 49 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

A cartoon villain if I've ever seen one

[–] SaharaMaleikuhm@feddit.org 10 points 18 hours ago

Only a lot worse cause he is real and there are no superheroes to fight him.

[–] sbbq@lemmy.zip 38 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

Is he talking about himself?

[–] flamingo_pinyata@sopuli.xyz 16 points 21 hours ago

He's more of a "High Priest of Antichrist" type. He'd fit perfectly as a season villain in Buffy.

[–] dyathinkhesaurus@lemmy.world 14 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

He's an Accelerationist. He wants this to happen.

[–] FarceOfWill@infosec.pub 7 points 18 hours ago

Yeah idgi. He's trying to convince the Christian right to regulate ai or something right?

[–] RockBottom@feddit.org 26 points 22 hours ago

If we always do the opposite of Peter Thiel's plan, we are safe.

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 9 points 18 hours ago

*Ave Satani strengthens*

Also, who gives a fuck what the rich pedo thinks, past doing the things he doesn't want you to do?

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 19 points 21 hours ago (1 children)
[–] Insekticus@aussie.zone 10 points 20 hours ago

It's got serious "if you don't let me do what I want to do, you'll make do bad stufff and youll regret it" vibes

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 15 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Can we stop the "statement, said someone" headline? Just flip it around like a normal person

[–] dyathinkhesaurus@lemmy.world 16 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

People would stop reading at "Peter Thiel says", "Elon Musk says", "Donald Trump says", there's a better chance of a click if they do it this way.

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 14 points 20 hours ago

People would stop reading at "Peter Thiel says", "Elon Musk says", "Donald Trump says"

Yes, as they should.

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 8 points 21 hours ago

Yes that's why I want them to stop.

[–] db2@lemmy.world 12 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

We're gonna need a really big wood chipper soon.

Don’t threaten me with a good time.

This is the man we just gave all the NHS data to.

[–] Kurious84 6 points 21 hours ago

That's rich coming from an antichrist.
