When I heard about the charges my first thought was "he wasn't seriously trying to tell the world with his stage name was he?" But I have to suspect that he was. People who do terrible things just want to brag about it and often that's their undoing

He’s Jake the Peg, diddle-diddle-diddle-dum, with his extra leg, diddle-diddle-diddle-dum

A soon as I first heard of all this my one and only thought was "Diddy didn't diddle did he? Diddy did."

Just like Usain Bolt, nominative determinism strikes again.

[–] brisk@aussie.zone 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

A bit undercut by Diddy choosing his name though.

Usain Bolt, surprisingly, was born that way.

Eh, his last name is Combs, and you know what those are used for...

This man is called Sean Combs.

[–] Vinny_93@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sadly he's not in prison for combing people

Eh, combing is a form of grooming, and it seems he did that.

Yes, but Sean Combs is the name they use in court. It’s situational!

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 7 points 1 day ago

That is because it is a legal proceeding which uses legal names unless the judge allows for an exception.
