The end of an era. I remember growing up being much more into gaming than I am today and marking E3 livestreams on my calendar and loving weeks of content from my favorite YouTubers who attended that year's event
Yup, I was the same with a couple of friends. We'd mark it in the calendar months in advance so we could meet up on one or a couple of the days to watch the Sony and Microsoft sessions, and some smaller indie highlights. It was cringey, entertaining and exciting to look forward to E3 each year. Even though we're beyond our younger teen gaming years now, we'd still mark the event if it was on.
Pity to see the gaming conference of the year for multiple studios disappear the way it has.
Game studios doing what TV studios are doing to Netflix, but at a much faster pace.
