At least on pixel devices the recent menu lense feature sounds a lot more intuitive to use than this IMO. Guess we will see how it works when it's out; I imagine I'll be accidentally triggering it when trying to one hand pull down from status bar.

hopefully it comes to older Pixels

if it can work on Snapdragon and Exynos chips, there's no reason it can't work on older Tensors too

I believe many of the AI features "of" the Pixel 8/8 Pro are going to land in earlier Pixel phones as the hardware was already capable and some of the features are cloud-based (ie hardware shouldn't even be a problem). But we likely have to wait a bit more since Google still wants to milk its Pixel 8/8 Pro first by making the AI features one of its top selling arguments.
