My bedroom door as a teenager was just a curtain. The bathroom didn't have anything in the doorway, and not even floors. Just plywood. It was interesting.
I did not have a lock growing up. Even if I did, I could see my family forbidding using it for whatever dumb reason.

I do the most innocent and casual things on my computer and for whatever reason I always minimize all apps when my dad enters my room, probably because I don't like comments, positive or not.
