I'm waiting for the entire game to be released before I play it. I don't want to play it in pieces with 4 years between each part
I'm hoping that they release a cut down version that excludes a lot of the unnecessary new junk they added for padding that screws up the pacing.
I’m gonna time out a replay of the first two leading into the release of the third if I’m still alive
My favorite scene has to be when Aerith's theme played when you got to her house.
Yes! I finally got to it in the past month or so, and I had an incredible time tbh.
Controversial I guess, but that's in contrast with my playthrough of FF VII OG a couple years back, which I probably idealised throughout the years and imo really didn't age well.
Remake redeemed the whole "FF VII experience" for me (and I guess we'll see what they come up with next).
Was that your first time playing the OG? If you didn't grow up with it could def be rough.
Yes, first time playing it, so no "nostalgia goggles" to help there.
Recently played it and enjoyed it as well. I always loved the cyberpunk vibes of midgar in the original game so it was nice to explore that more in the remake.
I actually just started playing the original. I like to experience the original first typically. I don't normally play remakes but i got ff7 remake for free and it looks so different i'll have to play it after i finish the original
I really enjoyed the game too. There was only one part of the game where the pacing was a little off, but for the most part it was a great experience and I’m interested to see how part 2 plays out
Its major issues are anime noises and some odd choices for voice direction. I guess that’s technically one issue. The combat feels fantastic. I have no strong feelings about the story one way or another. I prefer some changes and dislike others enough that my enjoyment is reduced.
Hopefully they’ll use this as the base for kingdom hearts as the combat in KH3 was agonizing.
Played it two years ago and really enjoyed it too. I remember there was a point I got a bit bored, but then the game picked up again.
That’s how you remake a classic!
