How great would it be if YouTube died?
It would be terrible if you want to be serious about it. There is a ton of great information that would be lost if it happened.
We'd need Odysee or PeerTube to be a serious competitor people could switch to first.
No user hosted video platform can succeed unless the hoster gets massive amounts of donations. The storage costs alone would be astronomical, but the real kicker would be the power bill. Transcoding to numerous people at different qualities requires tons of power.
Not very for a lot of content creators.
The knowledge lost would be devastating. I hope they are simply forced to change their business model.
Can't wait to hear about the violations, and their million dollar fine.
