I tried typing @instance_address in the search bar but it doesn't work.

Is it possible to search all communities in a specific instance?

I don't think it's possible yet, but it's a popular request. I just open the instance page in the browser when I need to

Not directly, but you can go to browse.feddit.de and type the instance into the search bar to get a list of communities

Any specific reasoning that the general search wouldn’t cover this? Why limit your search?

For example I noticed a subreddit that I like has their own lemmy instance. Instead of just a single community they made an entire instance and separated the themes in communities, so I was trying to see all the communities they have on the instance and couldn't find because idk how they named them and my lemmy account is on a different instance.
