Wallace, no contest.
The stories that man could tell, bonus points if he has his dog Gromit with him
I already have the hobbies of a 90 year old. We can trade model railway info.
He probably wants as little drama as possible. Just like me.
Yeah, if he's still working at "like 100," he's either passionate about the work or needs the job because someone stole his retirement. Either way, he's not going to be pushing the boundaries.
Prepare for every single minor tech problem he has to become your problem. You'll spend more time helping him than doing your own job. This may or may not be downside, depending on how much you like your job.
Dayzie for sure. What's wrong with all natural deodorant? I also kind of hate smelling people's non-natural deodorant, shampoo, hand lotion, laundry detergent, fabric softener...
I had an office mate that used patchouli, mint, etc. It got old so fast.
Natural fragrances and essential oils are less of a problem for me but end up getting me after a while. I’d prefer if people didn’t try to broadcast a fragrance at all.
All natural deodorant doesn't work, change my mind.
there is one technically "nAtUrAL" antiperspirant that does work, alum (any of several naturally occurring aluminum salt minerals)
problem is they don't work as well as synthetic aluminum chlorohydrates (the most common active ingredient in commercial antiperspirants), mainly cuz they're not terribly soluble in water so it's hard to get a good amount of it on your pits by just wetting the alum rock and rubbing it on (most common application method)
as someone who hates scented anything as well as plastic packaging and increasing antiperspirant prices in the US (my two go-to brands doubled in price in the last 4 years), i've been nerding around with both alum rocks and the only consumer available aluminum chlorohydrate i could find
problem is when i run out i don't usually have time to mix up more and usually just sigh and buy some overpriced Ban Unscented Roll-On
also remember kids, antiperspirant is NOT the same as deodorant, which ought to be called Pit Perfume because it usually doesn't stop sweat or inhibit the growth of B.O.-causing skin bacteria.
Pretty sure the strong smell of 'lynx' or 'axe' style spray just enhances the repulsiveness of BO stank.
Yup, I try to buy relatively mild smelling anti-perspirant, and it seems to work well enough.
Right. Some sort of antiperspirant is the key. Broadcasting strong scents everywhere you go isn't necessary. Fragranced products are even banned in some workplaces because so many people have sensitivities to them, and some people way overdo it since the average products are way too strong, and people wear like 10 of them at once.
Hey Humans deodorant works really well, but yeah, most natural deodorant sucks.
So?
Because it'll be no better than Lewis. Instead of human farts you'll smell bacteria farts. Humans have tried to mask those smells for literally thousands of years. Because many people don't like the smell of other people's body odor and that's fine.
Lemmy, the nerdier Reddit, in a shocking twist takes the side of intrusive BO.
Aw I'd share with Hannah. I love hearing people be all excited about their life. I'm not much of a talker so I like just sitting there daydreaming while someone happily rambles on.
if you work there long enough you get to hear about the divorce. what a journey.
If you play your cards right you can be the divorce
Wallace. Reliable Wallace who will never steal my sandwich or fail to put on deodorant and fresh clothes.
Right but he uses Google to Google Google.
Every character in every URL has to be laboriously typed out and verbally pronounced.

Arrrrrrr
You underestimate my ability to not give a shit. I'd be the one driving them crazy.
This is why work from home is so popular. The commute sweetens the deal of course.

Same. I love fish and I'm always self conscious when I eat it at work
though I don't eat much fish these days because it's expensive and bad for the environment anyway...
i do not consider eating meat as bad for the environment
yeah, there's a lot of debate on it. at the end of the day one person reducing consumption makes no difference, only lots of people which is hard to coordinate
i think it would be wiser to force farming and fishery companies to stop making ecologically damaging decisions but that is also hard to do 🫠
from a purely selfish standpoint maybe it's better to enjoy fish while we still can, because there might not be any fish someday no matter what we (as individuals) do...
Dayzie, hands down
Her all natural deodorant is no match for my inability to smell!
Agree, also, I'm Lewis so I win.
Shiloh. I can listen to my own music in my earbuds and ignore whatever sad-bastard music he's playing.
I'm pretty sure it's Radiohead.
Lewis, Shiloh or Wallace.
Shiloh, no question. Who doesn't love Radiohead?
