Brandon is from Oregon in the US, but this series has a very European / Moebius feel to it. The story is part Star Wars, part Dune, Philip K Dick trippy and other worldly. The plot is not spelled out ever, but you can follow it for the most part. Once you get your head wrapped around it, there's always more new changing everything. I recommend it if you're into any of the above.
