It's funny how they say it's to protect creators while their actions in the past prove they don't care about creators, they also earn from ads (more than creators as far as I know). At least they can't do anything about RSS readers since they use XML and can be used in many ways other than watching YouTube videos.
Right but can they really not do anything about RSS readers? Seems like they can just cut the cord on their RSS feeds anytime.
I'm so relieved that this article doesn't name the one I use.
keep it secret. keep it safe.
Revanced still working after they did this a couple months ago
I haventbtried new pipe yet cause revanced still works, but maybe I'll switch next time its broken
I'm completely opposite. Never tried revanced cause newpipe works great
I'm having such a difficult time with Newpipe. Lots of bugs since forever, no support for account, no way to sort channel videos. I'll use it out of necessity rather than by preference.
You might want to try "Tubular". I guess it's a fork of NewPipe. I think NewPipe is not still updated, but Tubular is?
Newpipe is in active development, new versions just take a while to be released
Thanks for the info. The delays probably fooled me!
Try out grayjay.
The fork with sponsorblock is unfortunately very buggy, scrolling comments causes it to crash and lag, some videos just show "content unavailable" and I constantly get "something went wrong" banners popping up - even though sometimes nothing looks wrong. Vanced rarely gives me any issues aside from needing to be repatched a couple times a year.
The guy who wrote this announcement is named "Rob."
Just a little on the nose, but OK
Rob Whiteman?
No? Just a guess.
