I tried a tiny taste and it was pretty neutral, not "grassy" at all. Might work well in a salad.

I didn't take any home since there was not much there and I'm not 100% sure on the ID.

I definitely recommend an app called PlantNet. You take a picture or several of the plant and it comes up with a % of correctness with example pictures.

I use it and love it. This one said 93%, so pretty safe I suppose.

If you've tried it, does this taste any better than red dead nettle? That stuff is like... pungent. And... oddly textured lol

I am very new to foraging, and have not heard of the red dead nettle. This spotted dead-nettle, from the tiny piece I tried, had almost no flavour - less than lettuce imo. That's why I mentioned salad - I think it would be a great "filler".
