Shame that all these companies choose win11 over SteamOS
The version of SteamOS used on the SteamDeck is not publically available.
They could go with a linux distribution though, but the setup process for many consumers would proobably be too complicated if they don’t make their own launcher/interface.
Oh, makes sense. It thought Valve would already be working with some manufacurers based on this interview from November
Cautiously optimistic due to the inline sticks, but a little worried that they're in the centre, not up near the top of the device, unless the device is very bottom heavy it's not great to have sticks in the middle for ergo.
WiiU (but not the switch...) and SteamDeck got this right.
Zotac Zone?
Finally one with touchpads
As i wrote on another Zotac Zone post, I’ve been looking at all the other handhelds from Asus, MSI, Lenovo, and was really disapointed in the lack of touchpads.
Shouldn’t it be a no brainer for a desktop-os-sporting handheld, especially a windows one? At least the lenovo has that interesting mouse sensor on the bottom of one of their joycon-like controller, but that’s not gonna help much when you’re holding the device.
The steamdeck has touchpads?
