Walking distance is only part of this equation.

We have no sidewalks and I would need to cross a 6 lane interstate if I were to go to the "closest" anything.

This could go well beyond viewership for them.

Growing up we didn't have the Disney channel. Back then it was a premium, paid channel. So with the options being renting tapes, seeing theatrical releases, or the special weekends where the channel was free, I watched very Disney growing up.

Now, as an adult, I have little connection to their characters, movies, shows, etc. I see others my age making yearly treks to Disney World and I don't have the same draw. I see people buying Disney merch, and again, I don't have the same need.

And because I don't have strong nostalgia feelings for Disney, I didn't raise my kids on Disney either.

If kids aren't connecting with the Disney IP, as they grow up, they could end up like me - an adult that spends little to no money with Disney.

And that would be a major disaster beyond viewership for them.

jellyfish

A gelatinous animal in the sea that stings you.

Jellyfin?

A server & client software pair that allows you to have all your personal media available on demand. Movies, TV Shows, Music, Photos, Books, etc. All served from your server to a client device - Android, Roku, iOS, etc.

Sorry, but as far as I'm aware, this isn't in anyone's plans to work on. I know it's not on mine. I think the consensus is to keep admin functions on the web client and let the Roku client simply be a user client.

It's official. All 3 of us work on Jellyfin. However, I now see we don't have it listed in the Social section of the contact page. I'll get it added.

Are you a Jellyfin developer?

I am. Funny enough, I'm the one who made the new video player OSD 🤘

If so, I love you.

Oh. Well, this is awkward. I think of you more as a friend...

Never thought I'd see a screenshot of myself posted like this. It's... kinda weird.

Episode SynopsesDennis and Mac get into inflatable furniture to deal with the economy’s inflation, while Dee tries to find a place to crash after being evicted by her greedy landlord and Charlie wants to pitch Frank his crypto/online investment idea. And in this inflation episode everything gets bigger - Dee’s desperation, Mac’s lips, and even Charlie’s apartment!

I'm not a die hard Nicolas Cage fan like some, but this definitely looks like a fun movie.

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. 👋

I'll be hanging around now that Reddit is on a downward path, and will be sure to share Roku client updates here.

FYI, I sent a link to this community to the other developers.
