I stare at the wall reciting pi over and over, while my body withers, mind untethered, consumed by a mathematical void.

Can't afford to eat much, cuz SSI, rent increase. Kept having conversations in head, like "I can buy laundry detergent OR have food to last the month." I've lost 20 lbs past few months , after discovering how tasty white rice can be, with just a tiny bit of sesame oil, salt and pepper.

I've learned it's a necessity. If the art itself is good, well done, promotes positive thinking, etc, it's easy to look past the personal failings of the creator. Like joss whedon. Or the Harry Potter author. Nobody's perfect, and if I get super puritan about stuff, I miss out on a lot of good content.

If the art itself is shitty, offensive, hateful, harmful... nope, I'm not gonna look past that.

Roman Polanski is tricky. Dude was a horrible human. I don't want to like his movies, but The Tenant is just so darned good.

By the way: I read your comment about hearing voices. I've heard voices since childhood, was minor, infrequent. But recently stress, trauma I was having hearing voices all the time, speaking clearly. Persecution, terrorizing. Felt like I was going insane

Very specific, wouldn't have considered Buddhist podcasts. =) I'll try to find some.

Yes. Had religion shoved down my throat as a kid. Learned early on being a religious believer meant nothing, people are shitty no matter what.

Had to decide who I wanted to be, what rules to live by. Realized I don't enjoy hurting people, try to learn from mistakes, random acts of kindness, to always try for the evolved, educated non violent option. That's enough for me. If there's a god who has a problem with that, oh well.

As I stare at the mess of charging cables and USB stuff on my floor, I look forward to when we will charge things wireless-ly.

An app on my phone so that when I point my camera at a street, building, landscape, the app will overly identifying info.

A laptop without a screen, instead a projected holographic screen with tactile feedback.

When my laptop is far away, across the room, I want a tiny, moldable item in my hand. Just press, next song. Not a wireless mouse, something way tinier, can adapt to tiny finger movements.

A flexible material that can be molded into shape, locked into place. So many uses.

I'd like to hold my phone, and in a quick gesture "throw" data to my laptop.

Went to a friend's house one day, she put salt and pepper on a tray of brussel sprouts, put in broiler for a short time. Changed my mind forever, delicious.

Or you set your keys or wallet on a counter, and entire time you stare intently at it. not breaking eye contact, only way you won't forget.

I'm in the same boat, you're not alone. Well, you are, kind of, but a lot of us are alone, struggling, trying to make it work. One just has to keep trying, so good on you

Currently rewatching agents of shield, season 5 right now. As always, was floored by the Aida character, mallory jansen was phenomenal in that role, absolutely killed it.
