This is a petition urging public institutions to work with Free (Open-Source) software in favor of proprietary software. Supporters include the EFF, KDE, GNOME, the FSFE, Gentoo, Debian and many more. Overall, it is very based.

I went to a McDonald's and it turns out they increased the price of a singular, generic, low-quality Hamburger to €2.50. I still remember them costing €1 not too long ago. What the fuck?

Governments, schools, and companies just finished (for the most part) to move to Windows 10. So it really sounds more like a problem for 2030 to me.

The issue isn't that they don't bother rewriting it to compile to AMD64, but that they'd have to rewrite it for ARM and Metal for basically no real payoff since OS X isn't a ~~popular~~ gaming platform.

HiDPI is pretty good though, I'm running Fedora Workstation (GNOME) on a 4K 14" Thinkpad X1 Yoga with 2.5x scaling. Everything looks crisp except for a few applications like Audacity and Minecraft.
