It is objectively easy to take naked pics/vids and get paid for it. I know because I've met two girls who couldn't hold jobs (bipolar/something else) or even live with others but made some income from OF. It might not be a lot, but the effort is minimal.
You can't make some tea and popcorn, poop, and come back to watch it? C'mon, what's 20 min!
Pretty much every film with the smallest amount of popularity can be easily, freely torrented in high definition. Netflix has good OG anime, not worth the price of subscription but still, whilst other platforms don't even offer that. Why give them money? Learn to use the interwebs!
It's stupidity and immaturity more than maliciousness, at least in the case of the US lumpen. The results might be more or less the same but the reframing helps with living in this world and believing in people's 'well-meaning nature'.
