Started dating a girl who liked it when I grew it out... so haven't cut it just about ten years. She's gone, but the hair stayed. I never found a barber who could consistently cut it the way I liked, so the only alternative I could see is regularly buzzing everything off.

Love nushell. It's just about the most practical functional programming language I've ever had the pleasure of using.

I'm using fish as my default shell since it's more standards-compliant and plays nicer with tools that modify your environment. But any time I need to do more complicated shell scripting, I'm breaking out nushell.

Hope they'll kick 'em out, but I don't think that's going to happen. Planning to skip the next one for that reason, not down to watch another Israel-centric shitshow.

For the most part, when you participate in any social interaction, people will have ready-made roles laid out for all the participants. These roles consist of an unspoken list of dos and don'ts that are absorbed through cultural osmosis to the point that they become social norms. This is all quite subconscious, and when questioned about it, most of us will either reject that they're engaged in this or answer something vague to make the question go away.

When someone shows up that doesn't quite seem to catch on to the game, many people tend to get uncomfortable. If there's someone who isn't acting their part, they're no longer sure what to do themselves. They feel threatened and shitty behavior ensues to enforce the status quo. So yes, mostly people are performing a role in order to fit in, even if they don't realize they're doing it.

On the plus side, when you meet someone who doesn't expect you to perform a role to meet their demands, it's pretty freakin' sweet.

life entails inevitable suffering, death is inevitable, and humans are born without their consent

Doesn't that apply to all living beings? Wouldn't that mean that the morally correct thing to do is to prevent all organisms from procreating, as it inevitably leads to more suffering?

Um. I mean, I get what you mean. But two of those are essential nutrients.

The video showing people calmly walking away as the bridge is wobbling is fucking wild. Check 0:56.

A bit slow-paced but definitely worth a try. I suggest running with the sushi deck when you unlock it, the synergies are a bit less awkward than the burger deck.

This one's interesting, hard to find a direct comparison for it. A bit heavy on the RNG side and unlocking good loot seems a bit grindy, but still has an addictive game loop.

This one's a turn-based strategy and a roguelike deckbuilder. Bit slow-paced and takes a while to get started, but I skipped through the tutorial/opening dialogue and didn't have much trouble catching up.
