I really hope this works. I wanted to watch it this year in spite of Israel's presence but it became clear on the night that with the vote-rigging and the behind the scenes intimidating of other delegations, Israel see it as a propaganda tool. If another 5 threaten to pull out they won't have the numbers to run the semi-finals and that would have to force the EBU's hand, unfortunately we'll likely end up with some dumb compromise or no contest at all.

Perhaps like the "stateless" Russian delegation for the Olympics back then?
Since the latest war in Gaza erupted following the Oct. 7 attacks of 2013, Israel has competed in two Eurovision contests, both held against a backdrop of protest. In Malmo in 2014, thousands gathered in the Swedish city in protest at Israel’s participation
WTF variety, You're a decade off. AI much?
Yeah I noticed that, ~~I weeks have used about article but~~ this was the only one I found with all of the members threatening to withdraw.
Edit: no idea what is going on with my autocorrect, but it reads like I was having a stroke or something.
Hope they'll kick 'em out, but I don't think that's going to happen. Planning to skip the next one for that reason, not down to watch another Israel-centric shitshow.
Why does Israel participate to begin with? They're not in Europe.
Because they broadcast in the EBU who is the entity that host's and facilitates Eurovision. And any country that is part of the EBU can enter, which is why we have seen Australia among others in the competition.
Ahh, thanks for the info.
