Regarding the message in the title, much like the Reddit downvote mob, after a while, the ones here on the federated platforms seem to get tired of downvoting people that don't subside to their pressure. And tying back to the tip, while I struggle to think of a specific use case for that, I've seen other highly specific ideas before that, for their use cases, were quite good, so I imagine yours can be useful too, specially with the text body's tone, and thus I don't think it's worth stressing over people trying to cause a silence spiral on yet another social media.

The post title was a pun with the mod's original name, "T-Edition", and me insisting on playing the Japanese version despite still having difficulties with the language. But besides apparently increasing the main game's difficulty, the mod adds a ton of optional challenges, including one that, iirc, acts like FFV's mini dragon.

Playing Final Fantasy VI once more, now modded because I'd been curious about this mod for years.
Also, I know there's an English version of the mod, but why make it easier when it can be harder? e.e"

Regarding the mod itself, I get a feeling even normal enemies were made stronger, with how much I was getting "kicked in the spleen" (Paine: "...spleen?") during the tutorial boss. This will be fun.

Wasn't in the mood to play yesterday. But in exchange, was so much in the mood earlier today that I got to finish it twice (somehow), first with the secret character, and then with Marion, the girl in the screenshot. Great game, specially when you don't need to burn through the money ~~you were to buy dairy with~~, and glad I used a sturdier controller, else I'd be with a broken action button like with Celeste on the Switch. 😅

The more concerning part is the bootloader that keeps being made more and more cumbersome to unlock. Not as easy to install one's system of choice when you need to beg the device maker to allow access to the part of the system required for that. =/

I mean, slap a proper desktop system and plug some bluetooth devices like a controller or a keyboard and mouse, and you got a makeshift laptop / notebook / whatever-the-current-name-is.

This game is hectic

Taking a screenshot was a challenge on its own. =P
Also the first boss here on Gunbird 2 took me a few too many tries, and I'm fairly sure I picked the easier difficulty. (chuckles) I'm in danger

Finesse doesn't mean bowing down to everyone. And indeed, expecting people to put their egos aside, at least quickly, is unrealistic, and even if the person takes in the points later on, chances of admitting are also low. But for example, if the person is clearly aggressive by his/her discourse, specially when including swear words, people tend to close down to whatever the first person is trying to say, or even respond proportionally aggressively.

There's a saying in my mother tongue that goes like "say what you want, hear what you don't". Even in situations where you need to have a more coarse tone, having some level of finesse to the words sent would help not just in not getting sanctioned, but also on getting past people's defenses more easily.

Just got through the stage. Overall fun, but I might have a few colorful words about that spinning wheel near the end. e.e"
Also luckily I managed to save the electric state til the end. Made the boss far easier.

Unrelated, but changed the title format because I thought the previous one was too visually polluted. Hopefully it looks better now.

Bad pun is still bad. =P

And Gunbird 2 seems to play a bit better than the first game.

Loving how each new stage is an extension of the previous one.

Bad pun is bad. "<.<

ahem

Already finished the PS1 version (a.k.a. the original but emulated PC release) and the second PC version, but with the differences the two versions have, the overall lack in information on the game, and having had a good time in the previous playthroughs, I decided to play the versions I could reasonably get (so no arcade cabinets, thank you very much e.e") so I could get a good idea of what changes, and the next version I could find was one of the Gunbird 1 and 2 bundles for the PS2, specifically "Gunbird: Special Edition". It also serves as a break from Sonic, since I'd been playing too much of the franchise, and too much for anything is still too much.

Short version I wrote for another news piece but that, to my understanding, should apply for this too:

The text is obtuse and the article’s title and cover are pretty clickbaity, so here’s a tl;dr:
In the US, according to the article, it’s possible to lend multiple forms of digital medias and software as you’d do with physical medias. But when requested to extend this understanding to games too, the US Copyright Office denied the change.

Sonic Mega Collection Plus plays great, even more so as a commercial emulator. Kudos for Sega.

Greetings, everyone!

I finished BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extended a few years back, but life happens and I couldn't play the rest of the series. Fast-forward to nowadays, and I decided to play the rest of the series, or, if anything, at least the main games. And reading on them, specially the one I played, since I remembered some quirks about it, I found a mention that apparently, part of its plotline is actually the plotline of Calamity Trigger, introduced in this edition. Is that correct? And if so, could I skip Calamity Trigger, or are there any benefits to playing it too?

Thanks in advance!

From the message in the linked page:

"We received a complaint about the game in its previous form, but we were able to resolve it amicably by agreeing to make a few changes. The game is now removed from sale from various platforms, but we are hoping to relaunch the game soon with a different name."

Please return November 5th, 2024 for more information. You may be surprised.

From what I could find, the game is/was available on:

Having disciplined myself to break such downward spiral cycles helped. That is, if I feel stagnant, I force myself to do something, anything else. Maybe it could help you too?

[-] Auster@lemm.ee 13 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Blocking everyone and every community you see from Facebook's new parasite social media could be good, me thinks.

Unfamiliar with it, but in the regard of instances going down, specially after my previous main instance died with no signs of returning (again), if you find any interesting posts even on instances seemingly stable, I think it is a good idea to back up those pages. Personally, I would propose methods like Internet Archive's Wayback Machine and its alternatives like Archive Today, the print to PDF option from browsers, and/or saving a given page as a MHTML bundle.

Other than GOG's withering "movies" section, I only remember of two that aren't overly niche, DLsite and Fakku (both mainly porn stores). Maybe Itunes' videos are DRM free, but I haven't tested and still it would break the "no app" condition since it's required for payment and download. Also maybe Itchio and Gumroad have something on videos too, since they don't limit the types of media allowed there, but I have yet to confirm.

I saw a post earlier today suggesting quite a lot of those political posts may be coming from bots or paid actors. And considering those post more often than not also carry stigmatization and faith-like views, even if it's made by actual users, I think it's still a good call to at least keep a lower tolerance, maybe avoiding the rage-click posts and communities and sticking to more informative posts instead.
