I thought this episode was very enjoyable. I loved the kids' personalities and connections with all their family members. The scene with the Grand-Midwife with the emergence of the spawn was my favorite along with the tardigrades. I am happy to see some of the non-main characters in the spotlight, although I know many folks may disagree. Overall am happy with the quality of this season. It is difficult to compare to other seasons as each one is a representation of their time and the amount of time that occurred between each season.
Go to the instance main site via web browser (ex: lemmy.world). Don't need to sign in. Scroll to the very bottom of the page. You should see Instance under the UI and Lemmy version. Click on that. It will show you what that instance is federated with and if you scroll to the bottom you can see the ones that are defederated. To easily find your instance do the "find" option in your browser to search directly.
I didn't realize Frakes directed two of the Orville episodes, but makes a lot of sense. He did an amazing job bringing the charm of The Orville into this episode. RE: the intro....YES!!! I was about to skip it, but so happy I watched it. I loved the space-monster sucking on the ship! It is my favorite part of the LD intro, so happy to see it here.
Definitely one of the most enjoyable episodes of any modern Star Trek episodes if not the best. Love the calls back to the other shows and Star Trek history. I like how the Lower Decks actors played their human characters just as skillfully as they voice them. I loved their connections with the SNW crew. Just beautifully well written. Feels like that it made up for what seemed to be lacking in the previous episode.
I guess it could be 8 or 11. Production season 8, broadcasted season 11.
