I got a 3Dfx from a computer fair in Liverpool just so I could play Quake 2 CTF, it was absolutely mind blowing not even an understatement.

My son is currently doing A levels, his subjects are Design & Technology, Sociology, Photography & an EPQ.

I'm currently on the lookout for books (anything really)that can help him through these. Is there anyone out there that can recommend books that helped you study those subject areas.

He didn't study Design & Technology at GCSE level so he might need something that covers the fundamentals.

Hi all,

I'm very much a Linux newbie. I originally read that Nobara was great for gaming (and it is) but I've read even better things about Bazzite and want to give it a whirl.

My question is, am I able to download it to a usb and just do a clean install without issues or do I have to do anything beforehand. I originally installed Nobara using btrfs if that makes any difference.

Like I said I'm really new at this, hopefully it's ok to post this here but if not please let me know where would be more appropriate.

Somewhat related, as a kid the first joke I remember that made my cheeks & ribs hurt with streaming tears was

What do you call a fly without wings?

A walk.

They're using a very funny (imo) line from The Life of Brian. They just changed the words.

Definitely something for me to watch for, I always test for ketones when I suspect my daughter is ill, I've actually never seen her have a fever. 97.7 wow! I remember when covid was at its worst here, we had messages from the hospital telling us to test frequently and adjust doses accordingly.

I'm not a bright man and this is an honest question, are you a diabetic? If so that's really interesting as my daughter is type one, I find that quite fascinating that you don't get a fever and something for me to look out for.

You can bet your ass they would.

Same here, last years premium was £442, this year Hastings upped it to £992, they called it an insurance premium tax. This is on a 1.0 Ford Ka+. I used a comparison site and managed to get it to a little cheaper than last years quote.

When I called Hastings to make sure auto renewal didn't go through they reckoned they could probably match last year's quote, I refused and explained that I didn't like they idea they were taking the piss so just cancel it.

Yeah 16 and if you're in care you're probably fucked. Lad I worked with hit 16 and was put in a house with some questionable individuals. 2 years later he's in prison. Working as intended?
