Worse than that, if you're looking for the program in the terminal like when you install the thing it's still called the old name, like:

Files > nautilus
Disk usage analyzer > baobab

They used to have character. The k- naming scheme is just a hint that isn't a qt app really.

For what reason do you want to know?

Depends on which joke we're talking about, if it's a joke, and how you say "that's not funny" doesn't it? Sometimes we mean it, and many times it's plain as day that we don't. If you're having trouble sorting any I'm happy to help, and explain the context of what you're seeing.

I don't know anything about the Houthis enough to make an informed reply about this, maybe pick another one. Yes we are anti-Israel because of their foundational and ongoing human rights abuses. No, saying we think it's good that they're facing resistance isn't equivalent to uncritical support for each and every idea the resistance subscribes to. You cannot with a straight face be saying hexbear is in any way anti-semitic or anti-LGBT, that's really absurd.

There is no hate speech on hexbear. Period.

Conspiracy theories? Certainly no harmful ones, usually it's in good fun or we have a report from a 3 letter agency directly admitting to doing something. Like the heart attack gun the CIA presented live on C-SPAN, or the blackmail letters sent to MLK Jr. by the FBI, or anything Snowden leaked. You don't need to concoct bizarre conspiracy theories when the people you're talking about plainly admit to what they're doing.

I cannot comment freely on how this sub presents apologia/revisionism here. You do have me in a corner here because of your uncharitably applied sub rules, are you trying to coax me into saying something that will go against them so you can ban me and be done with it?

"The red dot is where they fit politically" Yes, far lib/left

"The yellow dots are where they fit for different countries" The way this is worded makes it sound like her answers have something to do with it, but if you've taken that political compass test you'll see that no matter what you answer the left graph stays the same, because it's supposed to be a "sample" to compare yourself to other countries. What am I missing?

https://www.politicalcompass.org/analysis2?ec=0.0&soc=5.0
https://www.politicalcompass.org/analysis2?ec=5.0&soc=0.0

No matter what results you get, that chart stays the same.

Just finding this sub, also a hexbear user since before it was called hexbear. I see a lot of screenshots of comments from our site where it's left as an exercise for the reader to fill in some blanks with "and then they were bad" or something, I don't know. I'm genuinely confused how most of these could be seen as objectionable when they're either the most obvious of jokes (and not some schrodinger's asshole kind of jokes, where you decide if it's a joke based on whether you get called out or not. I'm taking about actual unambiguous jokes) or are just saying a totally different thing than the title says they're saying. Why, if you think we're so awful, would every single post leave so much up to the reader to interpret uncharitably? Surely, once in a while we would slip up and say "the quiet part out loud" wouldn't we? You'll find that right-wingers, fascists, nazis, etc can't keep the mask on so long, so why are we so "good" at hiding our malicious intentions? It's because we aren't hiding anything.

I hope that you will leave this comment on account of the fact that I am presently, and will continue, engaging respectfully in good faith and respecting the rules of this sub.

I understand that you hate hexbear but be honest here, what do you mean to accomplish with fabrications like this? You surely knew when you posted this that it was a joke right? That this doesn't say anything like what you're suggesting it does? I really don't see how you could miss that fact.

In this post we see poster #1 scoring far left/lib on the test (the farthest possible position from fascist), then poster two with more than half as many upvotes in 1/5th the time (22 and 18 at present) says that political compasses are bullshit, as well as the countries in the sample on the left placed apparently based on vibes alone? Don't take my word for it, there's the entire rest of the 172 replies in that thread saying the same things I am and scoring as bottom left as possible. So I'm asking you @goat@sh.itjust.works what are you seeing here that is objectionable?

Can you show any evidence of hexbear harboring or not doing enough to stop Nazis? Where did you get this information?

We can't see you from the hexbear side by the way.
