For context, the red dot is where they fit politically. But the yellow dots are where they fit for different countries.

I hope that you will leave this comment on account of the fact that I am presently, and will continue, engaging respectfully in good faith and respecting the rules of this sub.

I understand that you hate hexbear but be honest here, what do you mean to accomplish with fabrications like this? You surely knew when you posted this that it was a joke right? That this doesn't say anything like what you're suggesting it does? I really don't see how you could miss that fact.

In this post we see poster #1 scoring far left/lib on the test (the farthest possible position from fascist), then poster two with more than half as many upvotes in 1/5th the time (22 and 18 at present) says that political compasses are bullshit, as well as the countries in the sample on the left placed apparently based on vibes alone? Don't take my word for it, there's the entire rest of the 172 replies in that thread saying the same things I am and scoring as bottom left as possible. So I'm asking you @goat@sh.itjust.works what are you seeing here that is objectionable?

"The red dot is where they fit politically" Yes, far lib/left

"The yellow dots are where they fit for different countries" The way this is worded makes it sound like her answers have something to do with it, but if you've taken that political compass test you'll see that no matter what you answer the left graph stays the same, because it's supposed to be a "sample" to compare yourself to other countries. What am I missing?

No matter what results you get, that chart stays the same.

The point is that Tankies pretend to be American Far left, but they are the polar opposite when it comes to supporting their favourite nations.

Alternatively, a detailed blog post about Tankies.

(caution of biased source)

Basic Rules:

Sh.itjust.works Instance rules apply! If you are from other instances, please be mindful of the rules. — Basically, don't be a dick.

Hate-Speech — You should be familiar with this one already; practically all instances have the same rules on hate speech.

Apologia(Using the Modern terminology for Apologia) No Defending, Denying, Justifying, Bolstering, or Differentiating authoritarian acts or endeavours, whether be a Pro-CCP viewpoint, Stalinism, Islamic Terrorism or any variation of Tankie Ideology.

Revisionism — No downplaying or denying atrocities past and present. Calling Tankies shills, foreign/federal agents, or bots also falls under this rule. Extremists exist. They are real. Do not call them shills or fake users as it handwaves their extremism.

Tankies can explain their views but may be criticised or attacked for them. Any slight infraction on the rules above will immediately earn a warning and possibly a ban.

Off-topic Discussion — Do not discuss unrelated topics to the point of derailing the thread. Stay focused on the direct content of the post as opposed to arguing.

You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. Bans typically only last 24 hours, but each subsequent infraction will double the amount. Depending on the content, the ban time may be increased. You may request an unban at any time.
