Iran isn't directly mentioned. Vague terms like "the North" appear, and historically many American evangelicals have identified the USSR with it, because that was the geopolitical bogeyman of the day. I've had older evangelicals insist to me that Russia borders Israel as a result.

Iran's more plausible than Russia, but if we pretend for a moment it's not all some desert guy's mushroom trip it could just as easily be Turkey.

Criticising the Dear Leader is racist, probably.

I, too, ate the spicy danger oats.

It seems like a simple explanation, but the history of biology is pretty much the history of thinking we we're special and then finding out we were wrong, over and over again.

I don't know if they would ever consider it, but they could split ridings with the NDP, so there would be a single main left-wing candidate in each. They could basically guarantee a win with even a few of those.

Proportional rep would be great. Still pissed that Trudeau just completely lied about that. If we do go there we should do what Norway does, where there's no snap elections, to avoid coalition instability problems.

They aren't worth anything until you sell them again. Billionaires hoarding houses is mostly hype, we just (measurably, sources available) don't have as many houses as other similar countries do, for some reason.

Yeah, tandoori naan is apparently popular across neighboring countries too. I'd say India can still claim some co-ownership, just like Europeans and their various loaf breads, but I guess that's a matter of definition, so sure, it's not exclusively Indian.

The dal dishes are Indian, though. Curries in general are Indian - that one goes all the way back to Harrapa IIRC. Since you seem intent on keeping score, that's 2 to 1.

Damn that's subtle.

I've seen the design and I thought it made good sense mechanically, but I hadn't considered this issue. I wonder if stand designs are getting wider too, as a result.

TIL. Obviously I've avoided using it much.

So how does that work? Is there a few implicit conversions that are allowed, but if you really write something weird it will complain?

Fun fact, cryonics came to prominence because it just works on small animals like mice. There was literally guys "killing" and reviving mice in the 50's.

It's entirely likely that the only barrier in humans is that we're too big to quickly cool with any known technology.
