WW2 was a horrific time period for the USSR. You are not going to find many movies glorifying the war and the violence within it.

Soviet cinema shied away from that type of jingoism because it felt shallow and meaningless.

The point that Soviet films were focusing on wasn’t that “Soviet soldiers rolling over the Germans in spectacular breathtaking scenes of patriotic fervor”, it was that the war was a horrifying, depressing, and terrible time, and that by the heart of the nation surviving, that was testament enough to the strength of the USSR.

Ethics are antithetical to success in capitalism. Nowhere in the world had it been accomplished other then rare instances in state run industries.

If I remember correctly, this was when Burger King opened a location in the main US Iraqi base.

They don’t have that contract anymore though, that expired in the early 2000’s. Last I heard Subway owned the contract, but they lost it to someone else a year or two ago.

Religion was created by big paper in order to sell more copies of Holy Texts.

Magazines.

And yes, the guns are empty, you can clearly see the M4 that the woman on the far left is wearing is missing its magazine

“The Soviet Union had shored up 130 divisions that were preparing for an August Invasion.”

You know why the Soviets were attempting to shore up the border and prepare for a defense against Germany??? BECAUSE HITLER LITERALLY DETAILS HIS PLANS IN MIEN KAMPF. Stalin and the high command discussed this for years leading up to the war.

Also August invasion of what??? Also that is hilariously wrong, that 130 divisions number included border guard units, NKVD security detachments, military police units, and reconnaissance units. Also, the vast majority of the actual combat units stationed near the border were not fully mobilized and were at peacetime strength. Hardly a fighting force able to launch an invasion.

Also if the Soviets were so geared up for an invasion, how come the vast majority of their aircraft were mothballed and being kept in storage? The Germans destroyed thousands of planes on the ground that were completely unprepared. What about anti-aircraft batteries and air defense? Minsk, Brest, Kiev, etc, were devastated by initial German air strikes on the first day and they were nearly completely unopposed. Why were anti aircraft battalions unprepared and not mobilized if the Soviets were preparing for an invasion?

Honestly, that’s probably one of the few times that word could be accurately used. Even if it’s by a ghoul like Hillary.

She was referring to that subsection of Trump voters, and those are people we use much worse words for on Lemmygrad.

Don't worry. In that hypothetical your life will be just as short as everyone else. Well... unless you somehow survive into the nuclear wasteland and die of radiation sickness after 3 months.
