By that .. well let's call it logic... People shouldn't ever wear glasses, get surgery, braces, hearing aids, or any of the various other life improving devices that are all to common in todays world... and medicine in general is obviously the work of satan, directly defying gods will of having you be sick sometimes (or for other people)/always.

Ah the obvious telltale sign of AI writing, the misspelling of focuses. Gets em every time.

And now I've learned that focusses is a thing in places. placces. placesses.

It sure does show the state of things.

Then again I was stuck in a decent amount of traffic today and the sheer amount of people who attempt to "beat the system" of driving in an orderly manner is also insanely high.

I'd love to think that we're better than this as a society, but the reality of the situation is that we're one or two small steps from pure anarchy and it really wouldn't take all that much to get there from where we are.

There is no "one size fits all" for anyone...

I treat the first time with anyone like a session zero of a DnD campaign. We put our wants and desires forward, discuss dislikes and flat out offs, and go from there. The intimate details of how they like something is best sorted out in practice.

Neither. I need that bastard to stop trying to prop a tent after any minor provocation.

Plenty of men wear makeup. Embrace your inner goth.

Personal note: this is one of the many gendered things I simply refuse to acknowledge as gendered. There are plenty of instance where it's perfectly normal (thus mentioning goth) and it shouldn't be gender specific to want a more uniform completion.

I used to know one who would go for "here's $100", though that was many many years ago and I don't know if she still lives that kind of life. I haven't kept up with anyone from high-school, much less friends of friends.

When minimum wage workers requesting vacation time 3 months in advance during a non-holiday month get denied, knowing full well that the weekly schedules arent posted until just about the day before they go into effect... Yeah. People are going to do what they need to do. Goodness knows I did everytime that happened. You'd never guess how many times I've claimed getting Mono before covid was an option.

I've said it many times, but the channels I speak through are small, so from the top!

If you put your artwork online in any public location, make sure your signature or even a QR code is obnoxiously large and centered on the image. Humans can still see and enjoy what you've made, AI won't be able to discern anything, and if it happens to get ripped by one of those Chinese T-shirt bots, at least anyone who buys will know who the original artist is.

As someone who has lived in ~~4~~ (forgot Rhode Island) 5 different states, and two very different areas of California, the worst by my metrics was Hawaii.

Yes, it has lovely weather, yes, it is a great place to visit... That does not make it a lovely place to live. Once you've done all the touristy things, you have to deal with the day to day. Prices are just higher for everything. It all has to come from somewhere, and it's in the middle of the ocean.
