Maye that's a round number in their non-decimal numbering system?

It's like we turn into that old person that goes into their entire medical history when asked this question.

Awesome. Now if someone asks if I've played BG3, I can sardonically reply, "Isn't that the game with the bear sex in it?

Yeah, my first thought was, "Two words: mutual meltdowns."

I'm not exactly a "fan", but I remember years ago really enjoying a brief comic run called "Gene Roddenberry's 'Lost Universe'", published under an almost equally brief label called "Tekno Comix". I was really disappointed when they went under.

Still political economy. Geo(rge)ist economic theory, plus !anarchism@lemmy.ml is allowing me to expand my knowledge of Anarchist theory and see if the word properly applies to my way of thinking. I read a fascinating and enlightening article on how the foundation of Democracy is not the consent of the governed (many forms of authoritarianism can also be justified with consent), but rather the idea of the inalienability of rights, that government is properly conceived as an immediate agent of the people it governs, and not as a holder of rights permanently bestowed. That the people are the wellspring of authority to which it must constantly return to renew the delegation that makes it possible

I expressed it poorly here. The article was very good.

Don't forget that the anarcho-capitalists have been muddying branding. Some folks may not realize that anarchism is not the same thing as absolute landlordism.

Fungus gnats are generally the result of overwatering your plants. Let the soil surface dry out between waterings, and they'll disappear.

It's a British accent.

Dad. Now did you ever get those cigarettes?

I second this. It's what works for me, as well, and I learned it from my dad, who has the same problem.

But you're right: some people do consider it "rude" to do this. That said, it's still preferable to melting down all over someone's face, and people like that are pretty much lost causes, for people like us.

That said, for people who are willing to make reasonable accomodations (and in the workplace, that's a legal term) if we've already explained we need to do this from time to time beforehand, people can be pretty accepting. It only takes a little while, so long as you don't have anxiety about the departure piled on top of whatever else is going on.
