I would second the 519A. Great emitter.

My thoughts exactly. It could attract some people. Or let us get to know each other better.

I think a build/mod thread might be cool, but I think that will start off slow at first. Which is fine by me. I'm looking at modding a Wurkkos FC13s. Looking for drivers and emitters and seeing what is possible.

Yup. LEDs are amazing. Changed everything for the better. TVs, home lighting, car lighting, PC FPS, etc.

Those old lights have bonk factor though.

I'm not sure honestly. The community was pretty clear they didn't want to move over.

I don't really post and try my best to not really interact at all. Not because I hate them or something, but because of the principle. Although I did get a Zebralight h600fc from the BST.

I doubt we'll have big threads. The most comments a post gets here is like 20.

Driving Engagement? (lemmy.world)

Hello Everyone!

I am still enjoying Lemmy and think it is a great place to be! However, this place seems to be low on any content. I understand that we only have around 2.2k people and that is to be expected.

Do you guys have any ideas for driving engagement here and sharing more of what we are doing and what we are looking to get or recently got? I try to share some lights and post every now and again, but I don't want to make like 5 posts a day.

Do you think we should have a BST thread like on Reddit? Perhaps some weekly discussion thread with projects we are doing or maybe we can discuss a different brand or company?

What do you guys think?

There is an extention and phone app called Keepa that tracks prices and shows you their price history right on the product page on Amazon so you can see if you are getting a good deal.

That looks very impressive. I keep forgetting Convoy has a buck driver. That honestly makes it one of the most usable pocket throwers.

This is very compact. How wide is the beam?

That's really good throw for that size. I may have to pick it up!

Edit: Picked it up

Hank is amazing. He won me over with three magic words

Will ship accordingly.

Hey everyone,

Do you have any recommendations for pocket throwers? I have a D1 and recently got a Sofirn IF19, but was wondering about some other pocket sized throwers.

I know of the GT Nano and what ever Thrunight's version is called. Any others?

This is a cool light. It's shape and feel in hand is unique and dense. It feels solid and small. Love it so far!

I just got these lights yesterday! They all came with 519a 5700k DD. Perhaps quite boring, but the tint and CRI are just beautiful!

Thanks for the list! Also, thanks for the cool website! I didn't know parametrek had such a useful tool.

I'm going to be looking at a lot of lights.

Hello everybody, I am looking at getting a bigger flashlight. I have some Hanks and FireFlies, with my biggest lights being a DM11 and D4Sv2. However, I have been wanting a longer flashlight. Something like the old Maglites. I used to have one as a kid that was red and could take like 4 D cells. I'm feeling oddly nostalgic for a light in that body type.

I saw the Convoy L7 and the L8 as flashlights that look close to what I used to have. Something with a multicell host, but it's not a deal breaker if it doesn't have it.

Any suggestions?

When I go up and down the stairs at night. I have a bunch of lights, but no legitimate or serious reason other than I like them. Which is the only reason I need really.

I never fully understood the hype with Zebralights. I get it now, this light is so awesome!

Hello flashlight community!

I've been mulling over for some time now between these 2 lights. I haven't really seen much discussion or comparison between these two. Is the buck driver really that much better?

What I like about the E12C is the waterproof rating and the redesign. It is also a little cheaper.

The E12R has the buck driver which everyone really likes, but I have no experience with it.

They both function as a powerbank which I think is really cool. The E12C has 3 amps output vs 2 amps of the E12R.

Does anyone have any experience with these lights or anyone who would like to chime in?
