Since this entire thread is just people shitting on the first game i figured id be a little different and say something good about the game. I very much liked the first one. Super weird but intriguing story super well acted awesome visuals and stunning graphics. If you like weird unique sifi stories you'll enjoy it. Its a slow relaxing game with some pretty intense stealth. I can't wait for the second one. Tho i do wish kojima would move on and make something more akin to metal gear plus death standing. His recent announcement the other day seems to confirm he will be doing that game after ds 2.

Even after kanyes recent craziness i highly doubt hes only worth 400 mil.

I mean some games do have monthly subscriptions. That's basically paying for so many hours at a time.

Everyone says everything is "broken" now. The game loop absolutely works so it's not broken Yet it is flawed.

I'm around 200 hours and I'm running into the same thing. I really love the game but you can't just go on random adventures like you could in other Bethesda games. I'm really waiting till survival mode. I really wish I needed to care about fuel or food or the atmosphere of the planet or something. But as of now I can teleport to anywhere with basically zero resistance playing on the hardest difficulty still the game is very very easy. I thought the main missions were some of Bethesda's best ever. But man just playing the game there aren't those little random adventures you could go on like other Bethesda games. I'm sure once the mod tools release and we get a dlc I'll come back but as for now there isn't much reason to return.

The original mercenaries from PS2. If we had a fully destructible environment with today's graphics god it would be glorious. If they could throw some co op in there. Man it would be great.

Ultimately the killing of sync brought me. But reddit just isn't what it used to be. Every gaming sub is just a bunch of cry babies complaining about the game that used to be good but isn't. Every post is just someone else reposting the same popular phrase or meme. It just over all sucks. I've actually tried using the app and the site it just doesn't work well. It doesn't even show content from all of my subs like sync used to. Now I'm using sync on lemmy and its passable. I actually kind of like the smaller user base. Less hive mind bull shit.
