I know someone working there. I was in a few group calls he organised using teams where I used an anonymous login. Then Microsoft forced you to make an account to use it, so I declined after that.

Skype used to be peer to peer. Your call went from you to your friend (whomever). Microsoft decided that they couldn't mitm that setup to scrape data; so, soon after they acquired Skype, they made all calls go through their servers.

Then they tried to make Skype make more money, since those servers aren't free. Then they made teams and copied half the code into that, and cludged the rest to make it hold together.

I'm guessing you haven't tried to do it. I can spend twenty minutes trying to read something my father-in-law needs help with over video chat. From his "and how do I turn the back camera on?", to my "no back a bit and left. The other left", and the classic "you turned off your video, let me call you back" because it's faster than guiding him on how to turn it on while he swears that he didn't press anything.

He could postpone the election if America is at war.

"We have always been at war with Eastasia"

I was walking through the city, watched as a man in a suit in front of me (I was walking behind him for a couple of blocks) picked up a briefcase beside a newsstand and got in the passenger seat of a waiting black car which drove off.

I'm in a spy movie, I guess.

I had an Acer laptop once. I had Ubuntu on it. I had problems with random crashing after a few minutes, I ran memtest, it took a few hours for a full test and came back with a whole slew of faults. I sent it to Acer under warranty and they told me that Linux was the problem and I should leave windows on it.

G'day, you mob of surfacers! Crikey, you lot look like you've been chucked in the deep end down here in the Underdark. What're ya doin' in our neck of the woods? You lot lost or just got kangaroos loose in the top paddock?

Fair dinkum, you better not be here to cause any strife. Us Drow don't take kindly to strangers pokin' 'round our turf. Ya reckon you can handle yourselves in a blue, or are ya just a bunch of drongos lookin' for trouble?

Anyway, if you're keen on stickin' around, you better pull ya heads in and show some respect, or you'll cark it quicker than a stubby on a hot day. Welcome to the Underdark, mates. Watch yer step, and keep yer eyes peeled. We ain't got time for any flamin' galahs muckin' about!

It's not consent if there are fifty pages of legalese to read before you press accept.

I got banned on Facebook for saying "fatty acids" because "fatty" is a bad word.

RAM is no longer relevant. QSG (Quantum Stacked Gates) is used for both RAM and file storage, being both near infinite (exabytes per gram) and near lightspeed to access. The NVIDIA QWVA (Quantum Wormhole Visual Actuliser) handles the rendering of Virtual Space to my GE neural lace (Perfected by GE after Musk's bankruptcy). The "CPU" is a DQERISC (Decentralized Quantum Entangled RISC) array boasting 64k threads at the equivalent of 8.4PHz.

Only been used off world though, everyone on Earth just uses the Mesh, much faster.

Running Arch with Linux kernel 69.420.9.99.999.999.9999.9999.372 (Linus said "Nice" when it got to 69.420, and died soon after so now it will always keep the same version number) btw.

If Hungary's values are so different, perhaps they should leave the EU.
