Thank you! It does, native Linux build and full Xboxb controller support, many players have tested on their SDs.

Hi, I'm the solo dev of Towerful Defense: A Rogue TD. It's roguelike tower defense where you control a single tower to fight against hordes of aliens coming from all directions. Pick your tower, equip up to 4 skills, and choose from a variety of traits and items to craft powerful builds that lead you to victory.

The game is participating Steam's Next Fest in June, with an updated demo and it's available right now.

You can ask me anything about the game here. And don't forget to add it to your wishlist :)

OK, so suspect the Razer may have caused the issue with UI. Can you help me confirm by taking it out for a while?

Hi, thanks for trying out the game and giving feedback.

  1. What platform were you playing (Linux, Mac, PC)? Did you have any device live controller, digital pen,...plugged in at the time?
  2. Let's see if I can improve that one.
  3. It's my bad that you felt confused. But to make it more clear, may I ask: did you get that scrolling wheel is to change which skill you can use any where just by clicking on the screen? Did you know that you can also use skills by pressing QWER/ASDF/ZXCV on your keyboard?

Unlike demo, you get to keep the prologue forever (since it technically is a complete product). While dev can disable the demo so you won't have access anymore, even if the dev disable the prologue from sale, players who acquired it will still can play, and download it whenever they want. Steam treats all purchases, free or not, with the same level of seriousness. Fun fact: I had to rewrite the description for the prologue because Steam wanted to make sure "players know what they'll get with their purchase".

Hello, I've been working on the game, Towerful Defense: A Rogue TD, for almost a year now. I'm about to release the game after Steam's Next Fest in June. And I'm about to release a free version of it, a prologue in May 8th. You can wishlist the prologue now to get notified on the launch day.

I'll answer any question you have about the game here :)

Hey, I previously shared with you the videos of the game I'm spending my own time working on. Thank you for your feedback and suggestions! Here's the latest video which showcases 3 skills of the game that I'm implementing. Hope you like it, and any question you have, I'm here to listen and answer.

About the game: Towerful Defense: A Rogue TD is a roguelite horde survival game with a tower defense theme and a twist: you don't have to move to avoid enemies but must use skills actively. Pick your tower, equip up to 4 skills, and choose from a variety of traits and items to craft unique builds that can survive waves of hostile aliens.

minimalistic art, characters are all simple shapes, you shoot bullets 😆

Thank you for being honest. But hey, how dare I compare my side project to those mega super hits? I just used them as references since they are really games that inspired mine. It's not and not meant to be VS or Brotato killer. No. But I do hope and am trying my best to make it have values of its own. Give it a chance when the free demo is out, will you?

Oh, sorry for somehow I only see your comment by now. You'll have "passive skills", too. They are called, in the game, Support units. And artifacts to modify the gameplay as you progress through the run. But your skills (you can equip up to 4 simultaneously) are (in most builds) the main damage engine, the main source to trigger cool synergies.

Thank you, I was just trying to make it look funny somehow, but sure, if it messes with the algo so I'll best change it back to normal.

Hello, honestly you're the first one to tell me that, thank you! I commissioned that capsule art, I'll contact the artist to discuss this matter.

Think of the game as Vampire Survivors, but instead of you having to move and all the skills are passively activated, now you just stay in one place, but you must actively use the skills. That makes sense because the game has tower defense theme, as the name suggested. There is another difference though, it’s how players progress. My game doesn’t have meta-progression, you don’t have any upgrades outside a run. And the level-up rewards and shop system of the game are strongly inspired by the game Brotato.

I'm working toward a free demo, hopefully, it will be released in a few months.

I'm here and happy to answer any questions you have about the game!
