I understand your concern, but assuming someone looks over all of that, there isn't something genuinely exciting about it.
Not to mention the terrible traffic it is in now due to the Russia- Ukraine war, other unstable countries within the region, the terrible public transport system Dubai has anyway.
Honestly speaking, Dubai.
Not because of slavery, poop trucks, questionable government policies, etc.
The real reason to me is that it does not offer anything traditional or historical. Yes it has some five start restaurants. Yes it has some big malls. Yes you can do stuff like desert driving or hot air balloons. These are all stuff that could be done anywhere else for cheaper.

People who do not backup their laptops or phones, then come complaint to me when they are unable to to access and get a photo when the device dies.
My only issue with EVs is their price.
I don't really trust the quality of Chinese cars but if they will prove there is a market for cheap EVs why not. It might convince bigger companies to focus on rolling out affordable EVs.
I went through this with my wife a few years back. We had to live in a single room for years to make ends meet.
10 years later, we are a family of four now in a three bedroom house that we will hopefully complete it's payments in 5 years or so.
Difficulties can still happen but we will sail through it again if it needed.
Been archiving a lot of my favourite shows. I expect a lot of them to either disappear in ten years, or sit behind some subscription.
Less content to go through, so you end up going through posts and comments a bit more thoroughly. This translates to higher engagement from users overall compared to Reddit.
The con of course is less content to go through.

Honestly, just take a basic normal car, and replace its engine with an electric one. No on screen entertainment, no cameras, no AI bull shit, no self driving. Just as basic as it gets.
My advice would be to look into emulators. Old school games do not have any micro transactions and are complete. Plus there is a vast library of consoles and games to go through.
