I don't think "simplicity" is in a FOSS evangelist's vocabulary.
Hey, don't sweat it. You gotta use what's right for you and that's all that matters. Talking from a dual-booter's perspective, here.
On Lemmy, it's shown. On Mastodon, instances are given the ability to hide their blocked instances which IMO hinders people's ability to join. A lot of the drama on the fediverse with regards to blocking is from Mastodon and similar instances.
People claim the instance you join doesn't matter because "everything is federated!" but it kind of does. It strongly affects the people who will see your posts and even who you can follow, and if you don't know what an instance is blocking it creates an air of uncertainty. I've seen instances get blocked for stupid at best and downright malicious at worst reasons, so the 4chan post isn't inherently wrong.
And racing sims. I was talking to someone on Bluesky and they said the lack of racing sim gear support is holding them back.
Plush toys. Just bought one of Spyro the Dragon and I'm waiting for production to start on the Apollo ones (if you're wondering, yeah, the one of the iOS app's mascot)
Was half-expecting Rick Astley ngl
if I recall, Mastodon actually lets you change the character limit per-instance.
That being said, nice to see some love for Firefish here.
Hi-Fi Rush mixes DMC-style combat with rhythm gameplay, and has a great soundtrack and charming personality to match.
Not to mention, some big names did pull out. If I recall, r/IAmA said they were no longer going to liaison their big-name celebrity AMAs or verify posts. Someone at Mojang/Microsoft probably got nudged to no longer post on Reddit because r/Minecraft is no longer getting changelogs from Mojang.
Bloody hell. They're not holding back their anger, are they?
To be fair, there are places across the world and particularly in the US where the water doesn't taste or smell good, but even then bottled water will do so much better. Though I'm in the UK, I'm considering buying myself a filter because the water tastes a little weird here. Not dangerous - just... too weird for my taste buds.
I won't lie, I'm concerned for the long-term progress of the emulator. Yuzu and its ilk shined because of the talent backing it. That's not to say Suyu won't get such talent, but given that those involved in Yuzu/Citra won't ever touch anything past maybe the Wii and emulator devs - even those unaffiliated with the Nintendo emulation scene - are getting scared right now, I'm not sure.
