Why Brits and Americans? Every major city has expats.

You go abroad for a job, usually temporarily -> expat

You give up your citizenship to move to another country -> immigrant

No. Retirement age is already higher than the age I'll probably reach, considering hereditary bad stuff. Aside from that, I have no skills and keep getting fired. Not to mention our planet will be on fire by then anyway.

Try to start over. Go to a new place, try to meet new people, etc. I was in a very similar situation and just leaving it all behind helped.

I started with a clean profile: I never log in to YT so it's just using a local cookie you can always clear to start over.

Anyways, I just searched a few sciencey things to feed the algorithm and now I'm getting loads of crazy fake "science" and conspiracies and the rest is all extremist right wing bullshit.

YouTube is getting useless.

what's with these texts without any punctuation where everything becomes one long sentence and you have to read it three times to figure out how to read it I feel like it's getting more common

Many people my age have terrible boomer parents who just had kids because "that's just what you do". They didn't even consider you could just not make babies.

Maybe we just think more for ourselves than the older generation.

I got a tour of the place where they proudly show these cats in the most horrible conditions. Also, it doesn't even taste good.

I remember always switching to another channel when ads came up, but later that became impossible because they all started ads at the same time. So it seems to be on purpose to prevent people from switching channels. This was in the Netherlands, though I haven't listened to radio anymore since Napster came out.

If you're not a wage slave and have a bigger home, think of all the hobbies and interests you can pursue, new things to learn, time to meet people and space to host them, charity work... And you have the energy for things that a job would drain from you otherwise. I think life would be drastically different.

I accidentally watched a YouTube video on a browser without blocking. It started with an ad. I thought I'd just endure it this time. Then another ad. OK, just this time then. Suddenly, another ad in the middle of the video. I gave up. Who'd have the patience to sit through this?

Then there's Google's habit of completely ignoring the browser's language settings so I have to sit though ads I don't even understand.

The majority of those visits were to sites that allow users to download the audio from YouTube URLs.

This is not piracy. We've always been allowed to record e.g. radio and TV for personal use.

FYI It seems like at least the US government doesn't want you to go there. So if Fmoviesz is down or something, you should be careful to avoid alternatives such as sflix.to, lookmovie2.to, flixtorz.to, sflix.to, movieuniverse.se, soap2dayto.day.
