I think ultimately your problem is that ideas that were normalized to you on reddit-logo just don't hold up to scrutiny, and even the academic neoliberal consensus on most of these issues is different from what predditors treat as self-evident. Enculturation is like that, and I wish you a speedy recovery.

I'm an antitheist and, speaking as one, let me request that you pull your head out of whatever it is stuck in. France is notoriously Islamophobic and these are girls who are just wearing loose-fitting clothes because of a religious practice based on modesty. Is either the religion or the practice itself above critique? Certainly not, but forcing people not to do something so harmless is ridiculous religious discrimination.

The problem with depleted uranium isn't that it is poison to touch, but that it dissolves into the dirt and dust and poisons everything because people will, in fact, be breathing it in as an aerosol and drinking what gets in the water supply.

I am referencing to a dictator that is hellbent on invasion of other countries

Yemen isn't a country because it isn't white enough for you

Israel has a history of employing incredible violence against Iran in the most literal sense of that phrase.

Putin never said he sought to annihilate Nazism in general, at least not that I know of. He said that among his goals is to denazify Ukraine, which I believe is true simply because the Ukrainian Nazis are his most hardliners opponents there. He does also crack down on Russian fascists when they become inconvenient to him (like darling of the west Navalny), but I don't think he ever claimed to be an antifascist.

Yeah, looking busy is way more important than being productive a lot of the time. You always need to be doing something, so you just go through the motions of doing things because otherwise you'll get shit from your employers. Waiting in good faith for more real tasks to emerge isn't enough, so you must invent chores.

At least, that was very consistently my experience in retail.

Be careful, saying something like that might get you called a wumao

Nothing about republicans pushing for child labor,

There are articles about this regularly on Hexbear and, I must assume, on Lemmygrad as well.

People like the Hunter story because it's funny and there is genuine corruption going on, but I don't think any of them think it's actually important.

Consider that what the above person seems to want is the reddit-logo consensus and hexbear violates that. If the see see pee wanted to influence people, why not devote more effort to Reddit where it will be more impactful instead of here?

Of course, Reddit is full of NATO shills and the consensus that they astroturfed has been inherited by lemmy via migration, but no, we're the bots

Imagine thinking the most Redditor-ass reply of linking to Wikipedia of all places on a topic they are already familiar with is useful. Do you believe the Reddit myth about wumaos being shot whenever they see the phrase "Tiananmen Square Massacre" is true?

I don't share your optimism but I appreciate it! heart-sickle
