Traditionally, the Defense Department and defense industry think in big contracts for platforms that take years to design, build and manufacture and service. Taiclet, however, sees large defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin as a bridge from the subscription-based tech sector to the big-contract Pentagon acquisition process.

They're a graphic designer and I want to commission them for something

But the deadline is 5PM EST tomorrow so I'm not sure if they'll see my DM in time

The origin of the word "monkey" is for the animal and "master" for skilled person or hierarchical boss while the origin of the word "ricer/ricing/riced" is explicitly and only a racist insult

If your proposed term becomes the dominant term, then for the sake of making people easier to understand what I'm saying, I will use that term too

You would've went wild in the USA during slavery times

Oh no, I jumped straight to cussing people out and conducting personal attacks against somebody trying to argue for continual use of a racist term

Are you fucking stupid, you think Japanese cars used to run on rice?

That lack of distinction is 100% on purpose since China dominates the consumer drones market and they're so versatile and capable that countries all over the world including the US buy DJI drones for military operations

Can blame China for giving every country "drones"

The source for that claim is entirely from the US state department. Not to mention some expert disputed that claim

"The estimated all-time high for opium production was set in 2017 at 9,900 tons worth some $1.4 billion in sales by farmers or roughly 7% of Afghanistan's GDP, the UNODC reported."

"Mansfield says his field studies show the most the Taliban can earn from illicit opiates is about $40 million annually"

So the Taliban made at most 40 million per year while the entire country (under US occupation and control) made over 1 billion per year

They're mentally healthy for a westerner

Which is so rabidly racist and xenophobic that they're calling out random memes for being Russian as an insult

[-] GaveUp@hexbear.net 45 points 1 year ago

What's wrong with Russian memes lmao

Are you scared of their memes?

It's okay to admit you don't know something. Like the other person said, Chinese people can vote

Learn yourself so that you can make informed opinions

It's better to have no knowledge than negative knowledge (knowing "facts" that are completely wrong because of a gut feeling assumption rather than any evidence or research)

No one in China is ever asked what they want or what they believe in

Thousands in China were asked every single year from 2003 to 2016 by Harvard in an intensive study that they've described themselves as "nothing comparable done on this scale, over such a long period of time, and over a large geographic area"

The conclusion they found is that 95%+ of Chinese citizens are satisfied with the government

If you tell me Harvard is a Chinese propaganda institution I'll take your word for it though

Fascist states famously sold off large amounts of state assets to capitalists. Nazi Germany even inspired a new word for this, called "privatization" because they did it so much

It's okay to not have opinions on things you don't know. Learn so that you can create informed opinions

Does it treat all posts from any instance the same or are they like, weighted based on the amount of users or something to make it fair for the smaller instances?

If somebody could just link me to the exact code in the repo that's fine too
